The face of a baby.
The laugh of a child.
The smile of a loved one.
The handholding of a lover.
A sweet whisper by someone close.
The little things that really don’t matter…
They’re like sweet honey.

I like this one; to be honest, your last piece, 'No Matter What' was painful to read. I got to this one, and I saw a completely different outlook on life- it's these things, to me at least, that make life worth living. Getting in touch with them makes a lot of things more bearable.

Keep up the great writing, you've got a knack for poetry, hope it gets the attention it deserves around dA!
What's weird is, I wrote both of those poems in the same night, only minutes after each other. Talk about major mood swings.

And thanks :)
you're too kind.

In the beginning there was nothing. God said, "Let there be light!" And there was light. There was still nothing, but you could see it a whole lot better.

Haha, no problem! And yeah, mood swings are common with creative folks; I have the same thing with genres and styles of writing. Sometimes it's poetry, sometimes it's horror, sometimes it's based of Quentin Tarantino... don't ask why about the Tarantino thing, I honestly don't know where all that thing popped up, :P. Randomness helps with writing sometimes!
Yes, that it does.
